#19/20R - "Cassiopeia's Revenge: Extended/Remixed Edition" (Originally Written In: 2001, Revised In 2011)
"So, we get to watch Cassiopeia destroy her own fortress."
"I hope it winds up blending in better with what's established when Draco shows up."
"Maybe we'll get to be in it this time."
"Reggie and I weren't around as Rangers yet, so I think we're going to go do something."
"Define 'something'."
"You know... stuff."
"I've read the fanfics. Unless you two vehemently deny it, I'll be forced to adopt them as my way of thinking..."
"I've read them, too. You're the instigator. Incriminate us, and incriminate yourself."
"Touché."
"SO! How about that opening?"
"*NSYNC Christmas! *NSYNC Christmas!"
"It's not Christmas anymore!"
"Aw, nuts. How about Nicki Minaj?"
"You got it!"
"Oh, no..."
Cassiopeia made her way to the lockdown section of the Galactic Fortress, where she had overheard that Orion, her trusted lackey, was being held. As she made her way back, she flashed back on what she had done over the past couple months of being isolated.
After Scattergory placed her in her bed, Cassiopeia looked up at him. "You... saved me."
"It was the least I could do, my queen," Scattergory replied. "You would have done the same for me."
"Thank you," she said.
The two stared into each other's eyes, until Scattergory broke the trance. "I have to go. Perseus is going to wonder where I went, and you know how he gets when he's mad."
"You'd better hurry," Cassiopeia replied. "Be careful!" She drifted off to sleep.
Scattergory walked to the door, turning to her once more before he left.
~*~
A couple days passed, and Cassiopeia was wondering what was going on outside her door. Nobody seemed to be caring about her, and she was getting rather ticked off by this lack of support. She watched as Orion passed by her door, muttering something about Scattergory being destroyed by the Rangers, and how worthless that monster was.
"Scattergory..." Cassiopeia buried her face in her pillow, saddened by this news. Her tears wet the pillow. This sadness soon turned into inspiration. She looked up and saw a sketchbook and a pencil set on the dresser at the other end of the room. "I'll avenge your unnecessary death," she said to herself. She walked over to the dresser and picked up the materials, and set out to work on drawing some monsters in Scattergory's likeness.
Cassiopeia was now at the door to the containment chamber. She input the access code, and the door slid open. In there were monsters that had gone against Cassiopeia in the past. As she walked past them all, they all yelled obscenities and disrespecting statements at her, but she didn't pay them any attention. She walked through the long corridor, and found who she was looking for in the very last cell.
"Orion?" The black and green warrior looked up, and ran towards the cell door. "I've come to set you free."
"Why? After everything I--"
"There's no time to explain. Perseus called you a fool, and I think he's planning on eventually destroying all of us!"
"That's unacceptable," Orion said, struggling to express his true feelings in a clean manner. "How do you plan on freeing me, and what about the others?"
"Just point me in the direction of the access panel," Cassiopeia replied, "and I'll handle the rest." Orion pointed towards a dark corner, where a slightly opened door stood. Cassiopeia walked over towards it, examined it, and walked back. "What's the access code to open the doors?"
"What?! It's your Fortress, and you don't know your own access codes? Why, I ought to--"
"1356," a pair of voices spoke. Cassiopeia walked over to another cell and saw two monsters. One was red and resembled a beetle, and the other was purple with many white eyes covering his body. "The access code is 1356."
"Thanks," Cassiopeia said. She ran back to the panel and pressed the sequence of keys, which granted her access to open selected cells. She pressed the buttons representing Orion's cell and that of the two monsters that had helped her. "Come on, we're going to get out of here!"
Cassiopeia and Orion started to run out of the chamber, when the two monsters stopped them. The purple one took Cassiopeia's hand in his, and kissed it. "I never got a chance to introduce myself," he said. "I am called Visionary, and, since you released me, my assistant, Sonichron, and myself will forever fight at your side."
"How sweet," Cassiopeia replied, turning to Orion. "I wish all my followers were this loyal." She walked out, followed by Sonichron and Visionary.
"'I wish all my followers were this loyal,' bah," Orion mocked. "Just you wait, and we'll see who's the loyal one around here." He ran after the others, catching up with them near Cassiopeia's quarters. "Shouldn't we have some plan for when we go in to confront Perseus? We wouldn't want to just barge in there and take over, you know."
"Good point," Cassiopeia said. "Follow me." The bunch walked into Cassiopeia's quarters, closing the security door behind them.

In his throne room, Emperor Perseus made a monster materialize in front of him. This monster, covered head-to-toe in armor, was designed to be completely invincible. "You, my armor-plated beauty, are going to destroy those Rangers once and for all. Go forth, and lay waste to the city!"
"Yes, my Emperor!" The monster teleported out of the Fortress...
~*~
...and landed in Reflection Bay Park, right on top of a family's picnic table.
"Aw, man! Not another monster! Come on, family, you know the drill!" The father led the family away, but his elderly mother stayed behind, armed with her beaded handbag. "Mom! What are you doing?!"
"This thing ruined my Jell-O Mold! Take this!" The woman proceeded to beat on the monster's leg with her purse until it jumped off of the table and ran off. "Don't mess with a woman and her Jell-O!"
Shortly thereafter, the Rangers rode up on their Aniforce Motorbikes. Devon stopped by the woman. "Excuse me, ma'am. Are you okay?"
"I'll be better when someone gets me a new Jell-O Mold!"
The father ran up and took his mother by the arm. "Excuse my mother. You know how women get with their Jell-O."
"Do I ever," Trevor said, slipping into a daydream. Karone snapped her fingers, bringing him back to reality. "I mean, my mom's the same way."
"Have either of you seen a monster near here?"
"That thing that landed in my Jell-O? I gave him a good thwackin', I did! Ran off in that direction, he did!"
Devon nodded. "Thank you, ma'am. Sorry about the Jell-O. Come on, Rangers! Let's go and destroy that monster!" With that, the Rangers rode off.
The man led his mother toward the rest of his family. "Really, mom? The Power Rangers show up, and all you can think about is your Jell-O Mold? It's not even homemade! Amanda bought it at the store..."
~*~
"Grow, my monster! I'm not wasting time this time!"
~*~
The beam hit the monster as he was running, growing him to city-wrecking proportions as the Rangers rode up. He looked down. "Try and stop me now, Rangers!"
The Rangers dismounted their cycles and aimed their Mega Cannon at him. "FIRE!" The beam bounced off of his surface and was reflected back at the Rangers, knocking them to the ground.
"Your puny weapons can't stop me!"
"Let's try the Megazord!" Trevor shouted.
"Right, T," Devon replied. "Aniforce Beasts, arise!" The Beasts made their way to the battle scene, and the Rangers jumped on, transforming their Beasts into their respective Zord forms. They entered their cockpits. Devon, in the Hawk Zord, attacked first. "Hawk Fire!" His Zord circled around the monster very quickly, causing his armor to start to melt away.
"It's... so hot! Stop that!"
-"No way, monster! We're going to melt you away!"-
The monster's armor melted away, revealing a completely white form underneath.
-"Form the Megazord!"- The Rangers' Zords came together to form the Aniforce Megazord. Using its saber, it performed its finishing move, slicing the monster in half, causing it to fall to the ground and explode.

Perseus stood and looked at the monitor in front of him. On it was an image of the planet Mirinoi. "Why do those Rangers always show up and stop me from committing my acts of evil? Why?"
A voice bellowed from afar. "That could be because you're a horrible ruler!"
Perseus turned abruptly. "Who said that? Show yourself!"
From the shadowy corridor emerged Orion. "I did."
"You! I thought I locked you away!"
"Do I look locked away?" Orion drew his sword and walked towards the Emperor. "Now, what you think you did and what really happened are two different things, aren't they?"
"Pirhanotrons! Astrobots! Attack him!" None of them showed up. "Pirhanotrons! Astrobots!"
Orion haulted his progression, and crossed his arms. Behind him, from the same shadowed corridor, emerged Cassiopeia and her new henchmen, Sonichron and Visionary. Along with them marched the army of Pirhanotrons and Astrobots. Cassiopeia summoned her wrath staff and pointed it at Perseus. "Attack him!" The fighters, armed with sabers and blade blasters, lined themselves up around the perimeter of the room, and aimed their weapons at the Emperor.
Cassiopeia walked towards him. "From what I've been hearing, Emperor, you've been planning on taking me out. Is that true?"
"Not in the least, my dear," he replied, putting his hand on her shoulder.
Cassiopeia looked at it, and smacked it away. "Don't touch me. Orion tells me that you were plotting a takeover. That wouldn't have been real smart of you to do... especially with me still alive in the room down the hall!"
"Is this true, Orion?"
"He doesn't need to answer you," Cassiopeia interjected. "See, the current circumstances have called for us to choose a new leader, and I pick... me!"
"You little brat," Perseus said, summoning his golden axe, "I never liked you from the get-go. You were always Andromeda's twin sister, and you could never handle playing second fiddle to her leadership. That's why you sent her off in time somewhere, isn't it?"
"Leave Andromeda out of this! She was my problem, and I handled her, didn't I? And, if I can handle her, surely I can handle you," Cassiopeia said, acknowledging her new army, "especially with my new friends back there." Sonichron and Visionary ran forward, and stood behind Cassiopeia. She looked around behind Perseus. "I don't see anybody standing behind you."
"There's only one small problem with that," Perseus said. He started to walk around. "You see, my dear, YOU didn't handle Andromeda. Oh, no. While you were gone, she came back. Darn good fighter, too. She sacrificed HERSELF in the line of duty, which is something that you never would have done! Also, how are you going to say nobody's on my side, when Orion's right here?" Perseus pressed a button on the console, and a familiar grid-formed outline began to glow yellow.
Orion emerged from a dark corner of the room. "I'm on the side of my Emperor," he said, in a robotic tone. "Perseus is my only ruler. I will destroy anyone that gets in his way."
"How dare you defy me, Orion, after I freed you from the containment chamber!"
"He cannot hear you, my dear," Perseus chimed in, "because he's completely under my control. Orion, dear lad... Destroy her."
"With pleasure." Orion drew his sword and took aim at Cassiopeia. "Bring it on."
She looked around. "What are you two waiting for? Defend me!"
"Right!"
Sonichron went to the navigation panel, but, before he could do anything, he was blasted by Orion's sword. He fired a laser beam in response, but it missed Orion and took out a Pirhanotron. Seeing this, Sonichron jumped into the air, delivering a kick to Orion's torso. Orion fell to the ground, and Visionary stood over him.
"Should I destroy him now, Sonichron, or do you want to have some more fun with him?"
"I kind of like playing 'toss the ex-henchman around'," Sonichron replied.
"How about a game of 'ring around the loser' instead?" Orion grabbed onto Sonichron's left leg, causing him to fall forward, landing on top of Visionary. Orion transported out of the situation, appearing behind Cassiopeia. He grabbed onto her hair, and held his sword at her throat. "One move from any one of you, and she loses her life. Got it?"
Cassiopeia struggled to get free, but was unable to. "Don't just stand there! Help me!"
"But, my queen," Visionary replied, "we don't want to lose you!"
"Yeah," Sonichron added. "If we attacked, Orion would destroy you!"
"That's more like it," Orion said. "You, Sonichron, follow Cassiopeia's orders to set this ship on a collision course with Mirinoi. There's a slight change of plans now, though, because you guys will all be the ones destroyed when this ship hits the ground!" He started to laugh hysterically.
"Stop right there!" Perseus exclaimed. He ran up to Orion. "My boy, I think you're out of control. You can't destroy the ship. You'll kill us all!"
"SILENCE!" He shoved the Emperor to the ground, to the amazement of Cassiopeia and her henchmen, who all backed away slowly. Orion's eyes glowed in a golden hue as he walked toward the downed leader. Orion looked around, and then down at the Emperor. Raising his sword to the air, he quickly rammed it through Perseus's chest. The fallen Emperor looked up at his former ally and said, "backstabber." Perseus let out one last moan, before disintegrating into a massive pile of sand. He looked back at Sonichron. "Weren't you going to change the ship's course?"
"Oh, right!" Sonichron followed the orders, and pressed a series of buttons, changing the ship's flight pattern and causing the craft to gain speed as it got closer and closer to the planet below.

As the Galactic Fortress headed towards the jungle planet, a similar-looking ship was heading past. On board, the crew was surveying the area for anything of interest.
"Daddy," a female warrior in red said, "isn't that the Galactic Fortress on our screen?"
Her father, a winged warrior in white, looked at the screen. "That *is* the Galactic Fortress. I wonder what's going on."
"It appears to be crashing towards the planet," a black-and-white warrior replied.
~*~
"You do realize, Orion," Visionary commented, "that if this ship crashes, you're going to be destroyed as well, right?"
"That's a small detail," Orion replied. "Since I've had these metallic upgrades, I've become a hundred times smarter than the average henchman. I've already planned for my escape and survival. I can't say the same for all of you, though! Astrobot, take this leader and tie her to that pole over there. I have to leave, and I don't want any interruptions."
-"That's it, Orion. Let me go free. Talk about being clever."- "No! I want to live! Take me with you!" Cassiopeia started to lay it on really thick. "I'll be good... honest!"
"It's too late for apologies," Orion said, throwing Cassiopeia across the room and into the arms of an Astrobot, who caught her and held her like a groom holds a bride. "It's been real, but I've got to go."
"You're not going anywhere, Orion," Cassiopeia said. She got out of the Astrobot's embrace, and fired a blast from her staff, hitting Orion in the back. He turned around. "If you want to get rid of me, you have to destroy me. You know you want to."
"If you insist," Orion replied, drawing his sword. He charged towards Cassiopeia and went to slice at her, but she blocked his sword attack with her staff. She took her staff and knocked Orion off his feet, causing him to fall to the floor. He got up and repeated the same maneuver, this time striking her.
Cassiopeia groaned and grabbed her side. "You'll pay for that!" She swung her staff at Orion, hitting him in the head. She then grabbed her boomerang out of her leg holster and threw it at Orion, hitting his hand. As his saber fell to the ground, she laughed.
"I don't need that to destroy you," Orion said as he jumped towards Cassiopeia. He tackled her and pinned her to the ground. "This is for what you did to Andromeda!" He raised his fist, and brought it down to hit Cassiopeia, but stopped before he made contact.
"What's the matter? Are you scared to hit a girl?"
"I... I don't know what's wrong," Orion said, puzzled. "Normally, I'd love to destroy you, but..."
"You just won't do anything to me because I'm a dead ringer for Andromeda," Cassiopeia replied. "That's the truth, and you know it!"
"That's not it!" Orion raised his fist and brought it down, again stopping before making contact.
"I knew it! You can't hit me! Get him!"
"What?" Orion turned around, only to meet Sonichron's foot. Visionary grabbed him and threw him into the view monitor, shattering it. Sonichron helped Cassiopeia up, and Visionary handed her her staff.
Cassiopeia walked over to Orion. She stood above him, holding her wrath staff, with the tip aimed directly at Orion's heart. "You betrayed everybody, including Andromeda! The only problem now is that you're going to be destroyed."
His eyes glowed once again. With this newfound burst of energy, he grabbed onto Cassiopeia's leg, teleporting the two of them to a lesser-used area of the Fortress. Sonichron and Visionary looked around. "Visionary, where did they go?"
"I don't know!"
"Astrobots! Pirahnotrons! We have to find Cassiopeia before she gets destroyed!" The horde of monsters exited the ruined room.
~*~
Cassiopeia and Orion materialized in a training chamber of the Fortress. Orion was feeling great with this newfound energy. He pointed his sword at her and fired a golden beam of energy, narrowly missing her as she ran to the side. "Now, who's going to destroy who?" The two villains started to circle each other.
"You're still as pathetic as ever," Cassiopeia said, firing a blast from her staff in Orion's direction. "Only someone as pathetic as you would betray your own leaders. What would Andromeda say if she could see you now?"
Orion fired another blast. "She'd probably thank me for destroying you!"
Cassiopeia fired back. "Would she also thank you for destroying your own Emperor?"
Orion stopped and looked downward. "I... I did destroy him. What have I done?"
"You merely saved me the trouble of doing so myself," she replied, flying through the air and landing on top of him. "Now, it's time for me to destroy YOU! Goodbye, Orion!"
"Please," Orion said, struggling, "give me another chance. I'll change my ways. Honest!"
Cassiopeia yawned. "Where have I heard that before? Oh, yeah. I just said it five minutes ago! Shut up and say your prayers!"
~*~
The Galactic Fortress continued its streaming trek towards a remote section of the planet. It was now only a mere 200 miles away from impact.
~*~
"You wouldn't do this to me," Orion said, pleading for his life. "After all I've done for you..."
"You never did anything for me! In fact, it was you who nearly got me destroyed in the first place!"
Sonichron and Visionary ran into the room, followed by her army. "My Princess! We've found you!"
"Look who's here," Orion growled. "It's your little friends."
"They've been more loyal to me in the short time I've known them than YOU have my entire life! Take a look around you, Orion. This is what a REAL army looks like!"
Orion slowly stood up. "But... My Princess..."
"Don't you 'my Princess' me, TRAITOR!" She fired a blast at him, knocking him to the ground. "You know what? I've had enough of you. Sonichron! Visionary! Let's go!"
Sonichron questioned this action. "What if he tries to escape?"
"Oh, that." Cassiopeia fired a blast at Orion, draining him of his energy. He yelled in agony, until he could yell no more. Cassiopeia retracted her staff. "Let's get out of here before this place crashes!"
The trio, and the entire fleet of Astrobots and Pirhanotrons, teleported out of the room.
~*~
Streaks of purple, green, red, silver, and brown light emerged from the Galactic Fortress and flew towards the other side of the planet. The Fortress itself (and Orion's lifeless body) crashed onto a desert section of Mirinoi, and exploded in a fiery blast.
