#27B - "Stars In The Sky" (Originally Written In: 2010)

PREVIOUSLY:
Cassiopeia turned on Orion, leaving his lifeless body to crash with the Galactic Fortress. She and her crew teleported out of the ship as it plummeted towards the planet's surface. As far as the Rangers knew, the Constellation Kingdom was no more, and all was well. Of course, history has taught us that peace never lasts for very long...

Some time earlier...

As the Galactic Fortress headed towards the jungle planet, a similar-looking ship was flying through another portion of space. On board, the crew was surveying the area for anything of interest.

"Daddy," a female warrior in red said, "isn't that the Galactic Fortress on our screen?"

Her father, a winged warrior in white, looked at the screen. "That *is* the Galactic Fortress. I wonder what's going on."

"It appears to be crashing towards the planet," a black-and-white warrior replied.

"Daddy, look!" She pointed at the screen. "What do you think all of those energy beams are that are flying around the planet?"

"I don't know, but we had better go down and investigate." He turned to his two-toned warrior. "Chamaeleon, take us down!"

"Yes, Draco," he replied, navigating the controls of the ship. "Next stop... Whatever planet this is we're near."

"Mirinoi."

"Thank you, Austrina," Chamaeleon said, dryly. "Mirinoi."

"Ready the Volans for our expedition," Draco commanded. "We have no idea what lies ahead."

*** BOOM! ***

Some time later...

Cassiopeia and her troops landed towards the South side of the planet, a good distance away from both the wreckage of the Galactic Fortress and the city of Reflection Bay, where her old warehouse once sat. Cassiopeia turned to her troops. "Did either of you bring a map?"

"No, my princess," Sonichron said.

"Yeah, we didn't really have time to bring a map."

"Curses," Cassiopeia replied. "I guess we're on our own. Astrobots! Pirhanotrons! Let's go!"

They all started walking, when Visionary stopped them. He noticed a ship landing nearby. "Look, over there!"

Cassiopeia looked. "Who is *that*?" The hatch from the ship opened, and a ramp extended to the ground. "Troops! Ready your weapons!"

"Wait," Sonichron said. "I think I know that ship. It belongs to..."

The figure in white emerged first. "Greetings, fellow members of the Constellation Kingdom!"

"'Fellow members'? Who are you, anyway?"

"I am Draco, the leader of the Triangulum branch of the Constellation Kingdom. We were passing through your area and saw Perseus's ship crash-land." He descended the ramp and headed towards Cassiopeia's gang. "My army - Austrina, Chamaeleon, and our Volans - will open our ship up for you."

"I don't trust him," Visionary said. "Something about this seems off."

"Silence!" She turned towards Draco. "Now, you say that we can come onto your ship. Do you mean *all* of us?"

"Well, we haven't any need for grunt fighters. My Volans are the strongest around. Much better than those dime-a-dozen Pirhanotrons and those antiquated Astrobots."

"Done." Cassiopeia snapped her fingers, and the entire army of grunts disappeared. Sonichron and Visionary stood by her side. "How's that?"

"I'm impressed that you'd be willing to dispose of your entire army on a moment's notice," Draco replied. He snapped his fingers, which summoned a large platoon of Volans. "I'm also impressed that, in much the same way as you betrayed the Emperor, you didn't see this coming. Volans, grab her!"

"What?!" The Volans descended on Cassiopeia and her warriors, grabbing them and restraining them. Chamaeleon came out from the ship holding three sets of chained cuffs. Draco motioned to him, and Chamaeleon put the cuffs on Cassiopeia and her warriors. "You dirty, lying, evil monster!"

Draco laughed. "Did you think that I would willingly take you in? You're more of a fool than I thought. Volans, bring them on board and lock them in the brig."

Everyone teleported onto the ship, which lifted off. On board, Draco and Austrina were seated in the main room. Chamaeleon entered. "I have a great discovery!"

Austrina turned to him. "What is it?"

"I've located Perseus's ship, and discovered that there's some sign of life on board."

"I'll bet that it's the Emperor," Draco said. "Who else would it be? Chamaeleon, take us to it!"

"You got it!"
